The Bonner Soil and Water Conservation District still has 30,000 tree seedlings for sale for April pickup.
BSWCD is a nonprofit that provides programs for the conservation, use and development of soil, water, and other natural resources. The organization partners with the Idaho Forest Owners Association to provide a reliable source of conifer tree seedlings at a reasonable cost for local landowners.
The proceeds from the tree seedling sales allow BSWCD to put funding back into conservation projects in the area, like the Forestry Contest and Water Festival — both events that are free of cost to local students to learn about the area’s natural resources.
Tree varieties available are western larch, western white pine, ponderosa pine, Douglas fir and lodgepole pine.
For questions or to order tree seedlings, contact Amanda Abajian at [email protected] or call 208-263-5310 ext. 100.
