SASi brings art to life

Sandpoint Area Seniors, Inc. is diving into the creative world with Art Alive, a night of live painting and illustration demonstrations on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 4:45 p.m. The fundraiser, which includes light refreshments, will take place at the Little Panida Theater (300 N. First Ave., in downtown Sandpoint).

Attendees are invited to view the work of area artists Jeanine Asche, Blair Harper, Carol Kovalchuk, Penny Ottley, Marsinah Runge, Susie Snider and Randy Wilhelm, and take in live demonstrations of their artistic processes in a variety of mediums — each resulting in a unique body of work that ranges from impressionism to pop art and everything between.

After introductions, the live painting portion of the evening runs from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The night will culminate in a live auction of original artwork. 

All proceeds go toward SASi’s community outreach programs, which provide social activities and healthy meals for local seniors.
