Annual Wellness Fest promotes healthy living

Rise Fitness Studio and Common Ground: Sandpoint Community Hub are partnering again on Sunday, Sept. 13 for the annual Sandpoint Neighborhood Wellness Fest, which will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Held in Sandpoint’s Farmin Park (between Oak and Main streets), the festival brings together more than 40 health and wellness organizations offering goods, demonstrations and classes throughout the day.

“Celebrate wellness in the park with your community. Connect with holistic-minded wellness practitioners and business owners,” organizers stated.

Classes begin at 10 a.m. with somatic breathing exercises, followed by Pilates, yoga, sculpting and a sound bath throughout the afternoon. All activities are family-friendly, and the event will also include swag bags, live music and fare from local food trucks. All activities are sponsored by Grounded Yoga and Movement, 7B Trinity Wellness Center, The Alpine Shop, Know Thy Medicine, City Beach Organics and Winter Ridge Natural Foods.
