A suspect in the death of Robert Cameron Hegseth Wohali faces charges of second-degree murder.
Michael Ryan McDermott, 47, was indicted this week for alleged involvement in the shooting after being identified by police as a suspect shortly after Wohali, 26, disappeared in March. By the time law enforcement found Wohali’s body, McDermott was already in jail for unrelated offenses. Police identified him as a possible suspect through interviews in their investigation.
Wohali was found dead of a gunshot wound to the chest at a rural location south of Sandpoint. Authorities recovered a gun from the scene they linked to the crime, which they believe occurred at 2208 Great Northern Rd. in the early morning of Friday, March 15.
