Grammy-winning trumpeter to perform Spokane concert to benefit MCS

Grammy award-winning trumpeter Chris Botti has captivated audiences around the world with his signature sound, lyrical artistry and extraordinary collaborations spanning jazz, pop and classical music. Botti will play a special concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 11 at the Fox Theater in Spokane with proceeds benefiting scholarships, educational programs and artistic opportunities for youth studying at the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint.

Botti has performed with the best of the best, including Sting, Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga, Yo-Yo Ma and many others.

“Chris Botti has long been recognized not only for his remarkable artistry, but also for his commitment to inspiring young musicians,” said MCS Board President Frank Geisler. “We are honored to bring an artist of his stature to Spokane in support of the next generation.”

For those interested in attending the Spokane show, round-trip coach transportation is available for just $50 per person. The bus departs from downtown Sandpoint at 5:30 p.m. on July 11 and returns immediately after the concert.
