Pine Street Farm to Table Dinner returns July 18

Pine Street Farm to Table — once a simple farm stand turned market and bakery — will welcome guests to its second annual community dinner celebrating locally grown food at the very garden it grew from (11742 West Pine St., in Sandpoint). 

This year’s Mediterranean-inspired meal will take place on Saturday, July 18 from 5-9 p.m.

“The Farm to Table Dinner felt like a natural extension of what Pine Street Farm to Table had already become,” said founder Kathy Hellman. “The farm stand created connection. The dinner invites people into the experience itself — gathering around a table to celebrate the blessings of the season and the relationships that grow alongside them.”

Chef Enas Blanchard will prepare Saturday’s multi-course meal, which will be accompanied by wine pairings and live music from the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint. The meal begins with hors d’oeuvres featuring lamb- or vegetarian-stuffed grape leaves and hummus with vegetables. Next, a garden salad and stuffed pork with balsamic glaze, basmati rice with lemon and seasonal vegetables or eggplant Parmesan. Fresh sourdough bread with dipping sauce, and baklava and lemon sorbet complete the meal.
