Full Draw Film Festival brings bowhunting excitement to the Panida big screen

Archery season is just around the corner, and local bowhunters of all ages are invited to the Full Draw Fill Tour, which will feature all-new films on Saturday, July 18 at the Panida Theater (300 N. First Ave., in downtown Sandpoint).

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the screenings start at 7 p.m., including eight entries from independent filmmakers who capture awe-inspiring footage from hunts in some of the most rugged landscapes on the planet while telling powerful stories.

Presented by ONXHUNT, films include Silas Summit, from Idaho filmmaker Austin Durham, which follows Durham and his father on an elk hunt following the unimaginable loss of his firstborn son Silas, to whom the film is dedicated.

Reverence is the story of Nathan Wayne Endicott, of Oregon, who has made it his mission to hunt blacktail in all the states where they range. The film showcases his hunt in Washington, which marked the final step in making his dream a reality.

Coasties is a portrait of coastal elk hunting, The Role from Haxen Hunt features pronghorn, No Plan B from Colorado-based Matt Short is a Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep hunting story and Backcountry 7×7 tells the tale of an elk hunt where everything went wrong until it went just right.

Other films are philosophical ruminations Why I Hunt and My Heaven.

In addition to the screenings, attendees can enter to win premium gear including a Hoyt Alpha AX-2 bow and more.
