Panida  presents bluegrass rock band Armchair Boogie

By Reader Staff

Are you ready to get down?

The Panida Theater presents Armchair Boogie, a full-throttle bluegrass quartet infused with the energy of a jam band and the swagger of rock ’n’ roll.

Playing at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, the Madison, Wisc.-based band blends jamgrass, funk and country into a sound that’s as infectious as it is unexpected.

Known for their tight harmonies, blistering solos and dance-fueled live shows, Armchair Boogie does, indeed, know how to get down.

Blending timeless originals and choice covers, the band is known for their fresh take on every stage they hit.

Featuring Augie Dougherty on banjo, Ben Majeska on acoustic and electric guitars, Eli Frieders on bass and Denzel Conner on drums, the band stretches the boundaries of bluegrass with fiery instrumentals and grooves that live deep in the pocket.

Tickets are available for purchase in advance for $23 on panida.org, or at the door the day of the show.

Listen to and fall in love — or at least deep in like — with the energetic band at armchairboogiemusic.com.
