Fall Fest: Four days of music and mountain fun

The 33rd annual Fall Fest returns to Schweitzer, kicking off Friday, Sept. 4 and ending Labor Day Monday, Sept. 7. The chairlift and activities open at 11 a.m. each day and close at 5 p.m.

For four days, the mountain will be alive with live music; a tasting of more than 80 regional beers, ciders and seltzers; village activities for kids of all ages; and vendor tents, food trucks and unique goodies for all to enjoy.

Fall Fest serves as the final weekend of summer operations before Schweitzer begins its transformation into the winter season, so be sure to soak up some sun, take a final chairlift ride, hike or mountain bike the incredible trails and end with a few delicious treats and beverages, including a soda station to mix and create your own concoctions. 

Souvenir glassware is available for purchase, as well.

Paid parking is available in the Lakeview Lot and the Gateway Lot features complimentary parking. Schweitzer recommends carpooling or, better yet, park at the Red Barn and take the free shuttle up the mountain.

A variety of local and regional bands will play all four days at Fall Fest. 

Friday, Sept. 4 will kick off with live music by Tony Louie at 3:30 p.m. and Cytrus at 5:30 p.m. 

Saturday, Sept. 5 will feature live music by Arie VanDenBerg at 12 p.m., followed by The Plastic Owls at 2:30 p.m. and Inland Beaches at 5 p.m. There will also be an after party at Taps featuring Spool Effect at 7 p.m., with a $10 cover charge.

Sunday, Sept. 6 will start with Sammy Eubanks at 12 p.m., Tomboy at 2:30 p.m. and Left on Tenth at 5 p.m.

Finally, Monday, Sept. 7 will feature live music by Payton Rae at 12 p.m. and Cascadel will finish up with a 2:30 p.m. set.
