Panida Board pledges $10K match in fall fundraising drive

By Reader Staff

Sandpoint’s iconic historic Panida Theater is kicking off its annual fall fundraising campaign, with members of the Board of Directors pledging to contribute a collective $10,000 to match the first $10,000 donated by community members before their Tuesday, Oct. 27 meeting.

The effort seeks to raise a total of $25,000 by Oct. 27, dedicated to operating funds.

“We’re asking our community to invest in the Panida’s future, and we’re going first,” stated Panida Board Chair Amy Flint. “Our board members believe deeply in this wonderful historic theater and are confident about where it’s headed. We hope the community will join us.”

Next year marks the theater’s 100th birthday, and funds raised during the fall campaign will support staffing, utilities, insurance, maintenance and programming. This appeal is separate from the Panida’s Century Fund, which remains active in support of a series of capital improvements to the historic theater.

The annual membership meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, at the theater (300 N. First Ave., in downtown Sandpoint). The meeting will include a report on the past year, a look ahead to 2027 and voting by current members on nominees to the Board of Directors.

Donations can be made online at panida.org or mailed to Panida Theater, P.O. Box 1981, Sandpoint, ID 83864.

Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
