Feedback sought on City Beach RV park concepts

Sandpoint city parks staff, members of the Parks and Recreation Commission and a team from HMH Engineering and landscape architecture firm MTLA are sharing site concepts for future improvements to the RV park at City Beach, inviting residents to learn more and take a survey on what they’d like to see at the site at sandpointidaho.gov/citybeach.

Meanwhile, the design team and city staff will be available to talk about the project in person at a booth at the Sandpoint Farmers’ Market from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27. Otherwise, members of the public are welcome to view printouts of the concepts during regular business hours Monday-Thursday in the lobby at Sandpoint City Hall (1123 Lake St.).

Staff will take community feedback to the Wednesday, July 1 meeting of the City Council, seeking direction on which concept to advance toward construction-ready design. 

Supported by a grant from the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, the first phase of the project — which includes renovation of the RV park — will get underway by the fall of 2026. Phase 2, focused on the City Beach parking lot, is planned for the fall of 2027.
