Ethereal indie folk singers headline at the Panida

As solo artists, up-and-coming indie folk singers Alexa Wildish and Hannah Delynn are mesmerizing. Together, they’re downright mystical. The singer-songwriters will bring the otherworldly harmonies of their Hum + Howl tour to Sandpoint on Saturday, Sept. 19 for a 7 p.m. concert at the Panida Little Theater (300 N. First Ave.). 

A guitarist, mandolinist and lifelong singer, Wildish released her self-titled debut EP in 2020, establishing her distinct Americana sound, which emphasizes storytelling and delicate vocals. Her musical prowess earned her a spot on NBC’s 2023 season of The Voice, after which she dove into the world of covers, releasing the album After Love with songs by the likes of Cher and Keith Whitley, to name a few.

Wildish will play her original body of work alongside Nashville’s Delynn, and vice versa, building on one another’s penchant for angelic harmonies. Delynn, with her self-professed love of “mythical stories and mystical lore” brings a layer of fantastical storytelling to her music while ensuring that her lyrics remain deeply relatable and introspective. Her soft vocals are akin to the work of Phoebe Bridgers, with relatively fast backing from the many instruments she plays adding an interesting, alt-folk flair to her original work.
