AT APPROXIMATELY 11:00 PM ON SUNDAY AUGUST 13, A TRAIN CARRYING COAL DERAILED NEAR NOXON, MT ON MONTANA RAIL LINK'S (MRL) MAINLINE. NOXON IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 50 MILES WEST OF THOMPSON FALLS, MT. NO INJURIES OCCURRED AND THE TRAIN WAS NOT HAULING HAZARDOUS MATERIAL. APPROXIMATELY 30 CARS DERAILED. THE ESTIMATED TIME FOR RAIL TRAFFIC TO RESUME HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED AT THIS TIME. THE CAUSE OF THE INCIDENT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
